Enemy #1

I love trees! There is something so soothing about them. I feel the way about trees that Kristen Bell feels about sloths.

I'm actually considering moving (yes again!) to find a house in the middle of the woods somewhere.
I recently found out that there is an EVIL bug out there - The Asian Longhorned Beetle looking to destroy our trees here in Ohio. What you can do to help:

August is Tree Check Month

This is the best month to spot the adult beetle

Take 10 minutes and check the trees around you

Report sightings and get more info

The Grownups

Jamie (11.19.83) I'm a mom to four crazy little boys and one adorable baby girl. I am just trying to stay sane amidst the chaos... and currently losing that battle. I'm currently a Realtor with Keller Williams, a Coach with Beachbody and thinking about going back to college.

Brad (2.15.84) is a deputy sheriff for our county. He has the uncanny ability to think about nothing. I have no idea how he manages to consistently have a blank mind, but he he insists that it is possible. He loves football and lifting heavy weights.

We were married on June 11, 2004 and have been surviving the chaos together ever since.

The Kids

Ryan (2.24.05) is the first born and ring leader of all that is chaotic. He has endless energy and is constantly moving and making noise. He has some peculariarities due to Sensory Processing Disorder -SPD and being gifted, but he is managing life pretty well. He was diagnosed with Vitiligo earlier this year. He LOVES Minecraft and football.

Luke (12.05.07) is often overshadowed by his older brother, but he is starting to come into his own person. He is the sneaky one. He likes to do things that annoy his brothers, but tries to avoid direct conflict. He is usually the peacemaker and always makes sure to share whatever he has. He LOVES candy and his baby sister.

Henry (6.27.09) is either super happy, funny and carefree or in a terribly, foul, no good mood. He rarely lives in the in between. He is feisty, scrappy and can hold his own against his brothers. He is a tiny, little guy with huge amazing eyes that everyone comments on. He LOVES Batman and his DSi

Josiah (4.29.11) is my Big guy. He started out almost two pounds bigger than his brothers at 9lb 6oz and continues to be big. He is the same size as Henry and people often ask if they are twins. He had infantile scoliosis as a baby, but luckily it resolved on it's own by 1 year. I didn't think it was possible, but he may be the most destructive toddler we've had. He LOVES being funny and writing on the walls

Anneliese (4.19.13) is the long awaited baby girl. She seems to not realize she is the 5th child. She insists on being held or she shares her displeasure loudly. She also hates her carseat and makes car rides as unpleasant as possible. But, if you hold her she loves to smile and coos tons more than any of her brothers did. It is super fun to buy all those cute clothes. She LOVES to puke and poop all over us
